About the Wine

The historic Spanish variety Tempranillo has found a successful home in the vineyards of Paso Robles. Like its birthplace in the Rioja and Ribera del Duero regions of Spain, Paso Robles offers hot summer days, cool nights, and little rainfall. Our 2021 Reserve Tempranillo tempts you with beautifully layered fruit, exotic spice, floral highlights, and a long complex finish with firm tannins. This wine will definitely gain further complexity and balance with a few years in the cellar. It never fails to amaze with its affinity toward a wide variety of foods. ¡Que aproveche!

Tasting Notes

Body

LightMediumFull

Appearance

Clear and bright with a deep ruby/purple core and black secondary color, lighter at the rim with slow-forming, moderately stained tears on the glass.

Aroma

Aromatic with fresh strawberry jam, ripe black and red cherry, dried leaves, forest underbrush, cigar box, vanilla, and subtle herbal Amaro notes.

Palate

On the dry full-bodied, and youthful entry, the wine shows baked strawberry, dried sage, and thyme herbal shadings with ripe black cherry and barrel spice. The firm midpalate shows mouth-filling tannins, savory mushroom notes, and ripe black fruit. The long finish exhibits sustained fruit, holiday spice, roasted coffee, firm tannins, and balancing acidity that keeps the palate fresh.
