2017 / Red
The JUSTIN 2017 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is absolutely one of the best Paso Robles Cabernets available. Using the same quality fruit that we use for our flagship ISOSCELES blend, and made of 100% cabernet sauvignon, this wine is a Cab lover’s dream. It’s rich, bold and complex, with ripe black fruit, sweet spice and that classic Cabernet mix of savory and herbal character along with structural texture that keeps this wine balanced and fresh from its beginning through its very long, complex finish. It’s drinking well on release, but don’t hesitate to hold it for a few years or even a decade to see how it evolves… if you can wait. There is plenty there to enjoy for a long while.

Appearance: Bright with a nearly opaque core with a black hue lightening to a medium purple/ruby rim with medium plus viscosity and slow forming well stained tears.
Aroma: Aromatic with ripe black cherry, blackcurrant, dried autumn leaf, vanilla, cinnamon cedar, cocoa with a subtle purple floral accent.
Palate: Full bodied with rich, ripe black fruit of cherry, cassis and mulberry with oak and barrel spice on the entry. The mid-palate shows savory tobacco leaf, cedar and cocoa over sustained fruit with balanced freshness and very firm tannins leading into a long finish with lingering black cherry, camphor, cedar and oak notes.
Bold and complex, this is a Cab lovers Cab that is great to sip on its own, paired with a BBQ beef brisket, or with some quality dark chocolate.
