2018 ISOSCELES Party
Who was the first to try the 2012 ISOSCELES? Our Wine Society members, of course! We welcomed the 2012 vintage of ISOSCELES with an amazing celebration at JUSTIN. The near-perfect weather condition in 2012 shaped one of our BEST harvests ever. The 2012 ISOSCELES boasts full-bodied dark fruit flavor with a very long finished, framed with mouth-filling tannins.
Our guests at dinner on Friday night were truly the first fans to taste the 2012 ISOSCELES during the epic multiple coursed dinner in the candlelit Barrel Chai. We got started with delicious passed appetizers, then made our way into the Barrel Chai to devour and indulge in mind blowing pairings created by Chef Will Torres. Justin Baldwin (Founder), Scott Shirley (Winemaker), and Joe Spellman (Master Sommelier) were amongst the guests sharing stories and behind the scenes secrets.
THE CAVES AND THE PARTY
One of the highlights of the event was when members were drinking ISOSCELES with founder, Justin Baldwin, in the barrel caves. We were also pouring our 2013 Viognier, 2012 JUSTIFICATION, 2012 SAVANT, and 2012 Sunny's Block. We paired each wine with delicious nibbles - the JUSTIFICATION marinated meatball and the bacon wrapped scallops were outstanding.
Winery Sommelier Jim Gerakaris and Master Sommelier Joe Spellman lead an informative Deconstructing ISOSCELES Seminar. Participants learned about the history of ISOSCELES and artistry that goes into the creation of the blend. They tasted 2000, 2006, 2012 vintages during the seminar.
THE BEST FANS
Every year we look forward to our Annual Pre-Release ISOSCELES event and so do our members. We love seeing familiar faces, like Joanna Russell and her dear friends that come out every year for this event, and meeting new fans. The question now is - who will be the first to taste the 2013 vintage?
