2013 EIGHTY ONE

In 1981, Justin Baldwin began a quest to make fine wines in Paso Robles based on the traditions of the winemaking region of Bordeaux, France. The Paso Robles region proved to be an ideal place to grow cabernet sauvignon, merlot and cabernet franc, the varieties that are the core of our Bordeaux-styled blend, ISOSCELES. We chose to name this wine EIGHTY ONE to honor the year we began our journey. Produced in very limited quantities, EIGHTY ONE is a stunning example of a world-class cabernet sauvignon that balances power and complexity and, like the best California cabernet sauvignon, has an ability to age beautifully. 

This library release is perfect for those who appreciate the character and complexity of mature wine. You’ll notice that the wine’s primary flavors have become less dominant with aging, creating entirely new aromas and flavors to enjoy.
