Appearance

Deep purple-ruby core with a medium plum rim.

Aroma

Very expressive and complex with layers of ripe black cherry, blackcurrant and boysenberry fruit, vanilla, licorice and cinnamon spice elements with savory herbal, coffee, cocoa, cedar pencil-like notes and violet floral accents.

Palate

Full-bodied, with bright primary cassis, black cherry and plum fruit on the entry highlighted with the same aromatic spice mix found on the nose. Subtle, toasty cedar, cocoa, and mineral notes join the fruit on a classic, Bordeaux varietal mid-palate with all of the flavors and structural elements working together with uncommon precision. The finish is very long, mouth-filling and fresh with lingering spice, ripe black fruit and barrel notes wrapped in firm, rounded tannins hinting at this wine’s potential to age beautifully.
