The 2026 grant application opens January 5, 2026, at midnight PST. Please register for the information session on January 9, 2026, at 10 a.m. PST below.
Grant recipients announced in spring 2026.
Eligibility
Successful proposals will clearly demonstrate community need and offer tangible, visible outcomes. Funding may be used for program development or expansion, innovative initiatives, small-scale capital improvements, technology, or equipment.
To be considered for a grant, applicants must:
Demonstrate a commitment
To making the communities of North San Luis Obispo County a more equitable place to live, work, and play
Be one of the following
A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, hospital, local government agency, or Title I school. (Note: Individual classroom grants follow a separate application process.)
Geographic Focus
JUSTIN Community Grants are intended to support schools and nonprofits that are actively improving communities in North San Luis Obispo County.

Organizations located outside of this region may apply only if the proposed project directly and exclusively benefits North County communities.
Funding Priorities
JUSTIN Community Grants are open to organizations working across a wide range of program areas. Priority will be given to initiatives that support:
- Health & Wellness
- Recreation
- Environmental Education
- Arts
- Social Services
- Youth Enrichment
Grants can range from $1,000 to $50,000.
